Welcome to the Communication Department

From Aristotle to artificial intelligence, our discipline has been central to understanding the power of communication in society. Communication shapes the scope of our ideas and values, gives rise to social and political potentials, helps define our identities and realities, and drives businesses and industries worldwide. From theory and analysis to creative production and expressive practice, the Boston College Communication major equips undergraduates for the dynamic careers – and meaningful lives – of tomorrow.
