How companies support mental health

Publicly acknowledging mental health issues can become an effective and exemplary display of courage and resiliency. When employers openly acknowledge that mental health challenges can be common, they send a powerful message to employees that it’s okay to get help. When companies value disclosure, their employees report positive results and express the feeling that their employer values and cares about them as people. Employers are in a position to foster a culture where getting help is a sign of strength and is as routine as getting medical care for any other health condition.
